MUMBAI: A 32-year-old woman from

Nagpada

has been arrested for allegedly stalking, abusing and threatening another woman, a fashion designer, on social media. The police said the accused has not revealed anything about the motive of the crime. The crime branch arrested

on charges of outraging the modesty of woman.

The fashion designer who lodged the police complaint is a resident of Mazgaon. She has told the police that she first got an abusive message on social media account on March 28 from an unknown person.

As the language was very abusive and vulgar, the complainant blocked the sender, said a police officer. “A few days later, she received another message from another account on which the complainant’s son’s video appeared showing him going to school by taxi. The mother was shocked as to how the unknown person had gained access to her son,” said an officer.

During inquiries it transpired that the boy went to school with a certain cabbie who later told the mother that a man had forcibly got into the cab and shot a video of the boy.

On March 30, the mother got another abusive message after which she lodged a complaint with the cyber police. She On April 13, she got another abusive message that she was being tailed and the stalker was close to a beauty parlour at

Byculla

where she was.

The crime branch and cyber police tracked down the accused and arrested her.
