MUMBAI: The head of forensic medicine at BYL Nair Hospital deposed as a prosecution witness in the Sheena Bora murder case on Saturday. Dr S C Mohite pointed to the skull exhibited in court and said that it was on a female, aged between 21 and 25. His examination of the remains will continue on September 13.
Dr Sumedh Sonavane, a forensic anatomist who was on the team that conducted the forensic analysis of the skeletal remains, is also likely to depose, said public prosecutor Ejaz Khan.

The main accused, Indrani Mukerjea who is allegedly Sheena's biological mother, asked to see the skull. Her counsel sought permission from the judge for the same. Mukerjea was allowed to see it from the lawyer's row in the court.
