Mumbai: Crime branch seeks custody of Salim Fruit

The anti-extortion cell of the city crime branch has taken over investigation into the alleged cheating case registered at Dadar police station involving Chhota Shakeel’s brother-in-law Salim Qureshi alias Salim Fruit and sought his custody.

MUMBAI: The anti-extortion cell of the city crime branch has taken over investigation into the alleged cheating case registered at Dadar police station involving Chhota Shakeel’s brother-in-law Salim Qureshi alias Salim Fruit and sought his custody.
Fruit, who is lodged in Arthur Road jail since his arrest by the NIA for aiding and abetting D gang, has moved for anticipatory bail and the police are going to oppose it.
This is the first time that the crime branch will interrogate Fruit in their custody.
