MUMBAI: A special Enforcement Directorate (ED) court judge on Tuesday granted exemption to Radha and Rakhee Kapoor, daughters of
Yes Bank's jailed founder Rana Kapoor, in a Rs750-crore money laundering case.
His wife, Bindu, and other daughter, Roshni, appeared before special judge A A Nandgaonkar who adjourned the proceedings to January 11. Radha Kapoor through her lawyer Subhash Jadhav sought exemption on the ground that she was in New Delhi and she had an eight-week-old infant.
She said they had been advised against travelling since both she and the child could be susceptible to Covid-19. She had appeared before the court and was granted bail on December 24, 2020. She had attended the ED office on December 28, said her application. Jadhav said Rakhee is an NRI living in London and is unable to travel to Mumbai given the travel restrictions.
