Mumbai city on Saturday reported 1,048 new COVID-19 cases against 929 on Friday, taking the overall tally to 7,04,509.
1,359 people were also discharged and with that, 6,59,899 people have been discharged so far.
However, 25 people succumbed to the virus.
Among those who died, 15 patients had co-morbidities and 13 were above the age of 60.

The active cases stand at 27,617.
In the last 24 hours, the city also conducted 26,751 tests.
The recovery rate has increased to 94 per cent and the doubling rate has come down to 399 days.
Currently, there are 40 active containment zones and 172 buildings are sealed.
The G/North Ward of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), which includes Dharavi, Mahim, and Dadar reported 33 new COVID-19 cases.
Dharavi, which has seen a slowdown in cases, reported four new cases today.
On the other hand, 18 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Mahim, and 11 in Dadar.
