Mumbai has been named one of the world's top food destinations for 2025 by Time Out, ranking 14th globally. The city is renowned for its vibrant street food culture, with highlights such as Khau Gallis offering delights like chaat, jumbo sandwiches, and falooda. Despite slipping six places from last year, Mumbai remains a culinary hotspot.

NEW DELHI: Mumbai has secured a spot on Time Out's list of the world's best food destinations for 2025. Ranked 14th globally, the city is celebrated for its vibrant and diverse street food culture.
The latest rankings, released by Time Out, highlight Mumbai's savory teeming Khau Gallis—food streets spread across the city, from Zaveri Bazaar in the south to Ghatkopar in the north.

The publication notes, "Whether it's savoury chaat, jumbo sandwiches, veggie-loaded ‘pizzas,’ Beirut-inspired Frankie wraps, or dry-fruit-topped falooda, every bite is bold, unapologetic, and bursting with flavour."
Last year, Mumbai was ranked 8th on the list.
