MP-based gang of wedding thieves busted with 1 arrest

Mumbai: Police have busted a Madhya Pradesh-based gang of wedding thieves with the arrest of a history-sheeter, Vikaskumar Sisodiya (34). They are looking for his 4 aides, including a 15-year-old who sneaked out a bag containing gifts worth a total Rs 8 lakh from a Vasai wedding venue on Feb 20. Bolinj police registered a case on a complaint by the bride's mother, Minal Patil (52). Based on CCTV footage and technical and human intel, police reached Kadia village in MP's Rajgarh district. "After 11 days, we arrested Sisodiya and recovered Rs 7.9 lakh," said DCP Jayant Bajbale. Sisodiya has five similar cases registered against him in other states.
