MUMBAI: Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) on Wednesday submitted before the Bombay high court that it was likely to finish the work of displaying Marathi signboards with equal font and prominence along with Hindi and English by March.

Acting Chief Justice Nitin Jamdar and Justice Arif Doctor heard a PIL by Gujarati Vichar Manch to implement two 2018 circulars of the ministry of home affairs, department of official language, to use Hindi and regional language at par with English for signage and indicators at public places.

MIAL’s affidavit said the exercise would take time as signages were to be replaced around 40 lakh sqft without inconveniencing flyers.
