MUMBAI: Friday evening, the pristine white building of

saw the inauguration of a spectacular art installation titled 'All We Need is Love' by fashion designer Manish Arora.

The stylist worked in collaboration with St+art India Foundation, which is known for its public art festivals and projects, in association with the JSW Group.

The evening started off with 150 guests releasing red and pink balloons into the sky. A panel discussion with Sangita Jindal, Manish Arora, Arjun Bahl and

Abhay Sardesai

, Editor of Art India Magazine followed where the speakers discussed the inspiration behind the installation.

"The installation aims to encourage passersby to stop and think of the beauty in the world," said a spokesperson. "After six months of ideating, 35 artisans worked for three months to complete the installation."

Approximately 2,400 pieces of cloth, both hand-embroidered and printed, have been stitched together for the creation. The installation is all about colour, joy and celebration with added glow-in-the-dark elements.

Manish Arora said, "Thousands of people pass by Jindal Mansion every say so we hope that through this installation we evoke feelings of love and peace."

Jindal who is chairperson of the JSW Foundation said, "As a patron I strongly believe that art and culture contribute towards the growth of society and bequeath positivity to future generations. It is important that art is inclusive and can be experienced by a wide audience. I am happy that Manish has used the canvas of our iconic Jindal Mansion to spread love and joy this festive season.”

Arjun Bahl, co-founder and festival director, St+art India Foundation said, "We would like to thank our partners on this project. We hope to continue this relationship and do more art projects which are spectacular and thought provoking and bring more smiles to people's faces."

Anaita and Homi Adajania, Gaurav Bhatia, Gauri Devidayal, Vikram Raizada, Ashiesh Shah, Toshin Shetty, Azmina and Tanisha Rahimtoola, Tasneem Mehta, Jaspreet Chandok and Mala Ramadorai were among the guests at the event.
