triple talaq) to his
wife

. No arrest has been made yet.
Salman and Naziya were married in 2015, and have a two-year-old son. In her complaint, she said that she had been physically and mentally harassed since they were married. She said that around 4pm on May 18, she woke Salman up and asked him to get diapers for their son. The two had a heated argument, where he pronounced triple talaq and them asked her to go to her parents’ place.
A case of assault had been registered against Salman in the past. The police have now booked him under the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019.
