MUMBAI: The Dadar police on Saturday booked a 28-year-old man for stabbing a 25-year-old woman over a failed relationship. He later stabbed himself. The woman was admitted to Sion hospital, and the accused to KEM hospital.
The police said that Tejas Kobrekar was booked under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section for attempt to murder.
The woman was upset with Tejas’s habit of drinking, over which they often fought, police said.

“Due to his alcohol addiction, they fought and the accused physically assaulted her on multiple occasions. For two months she ignored Tejas and did not answer his calls, which led to a fit of rage,” police said.
The duo met at Dadar on November 13. He stabbed her and fled, and later stabbed himself near Kirti college. A police team rushed him to hospital.
