Major reshuffle in city police

mumbai: all four joint commis-sioners were transferred out of mumbai in a major reshuffle in the city police on wednesday. joint commissioner (crime) bhujangrao mohite was promoted as additional director-general of police and posted as chief security and vigilance officer of the maharashtra state road transport corporation. he has been replaced by sridhar waghal, who was earlier in the thane range.joint commissioner (law and order) v.n. deshmukh, who played a significant role in main-taining peace in the city during the march 1 bandh and on march 15, has been posted as director of vig-ilance of the maharashtra state electricity board. javed ahmed, additional commissioner of mumbai south region, has been promoted and posted as joint com-missioner (law and order). joint commissioner (administra-tion) d.n. jadhav has been trans-ferred as additional director-gen-eral of state traffic. sanjeev dayal, who was earlier on a central gov-major reshuffle in city police ernment deputation, replaces him. joint commissioner (traffic) m.s. maheshgauri has been posted to pune and replaced by joint com-missioner sunil vaidya. others promoted to the rank of joint commissioner are satyapal singh, who is posted at nagpur city and k. raghuvanshi, who has been appointed as inspector-general of police of thane range. meanwhile, t.c. wankhede has been appointed as director-general of the state police housing corpo-ration. sudhakar ambedkar, who was inspector-general of police in the anti-corruption bureau was promoted as additional director-general of police.
