MUMBAI: State government officers, including senior IAS and IPS officers, will get lessons on stress management from 'Art of Living' founder Sri Sri Ravishankar on Friday. The state's General Administration Department (GAD) led by additional chief secretary (Services) Nitin Gadre has organised the workshop for the officers.

Officials said right since 2019, when the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government took over and collapsed six months later in June last year and the Shinde-Fadnavis government came to power, the bureaucracy has been at the receiving end with several enquiries, transfers and even police cases and arrests.

The stress management workshop will be held on Friday evening at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre at Nariman Point. Chief minister Eknath Shinde, deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and chief secretary Manu Kumar Srivastava will also attend the workshop as chief guests. As the centre's main auditorium can easily seat over 500 persons, officials said they were expecting all top IAS and IPS officers to attend the workshop.

Officials said stress management lessons are given to government officers under an agreement between Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's Art of Living Foundation and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
