The state government has granted yet another extension to retired IAS officer Radheshyam Mopalwar who heads the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).

MUMBAI: The state government has granted yet another extension to retired IAS officer Radheshyam Mopalwar who heads the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).
Moplwar has been given extension till February 2022
Similarly, one of his subordinates, Anilkumar Gaikwad, who is the joint managing director (Engineering), has also been given a year-long extension.

He was also assuming the post of secretary (PWD) at Mantralaya.
However, extension has been given to his MSRDC assignment upon his retirement. A circular of their extended tenures was issued recently.
Both the officers along with other two joint managing directors have been handling the ambitious 701-km Balasaheb Thackeray Mumbai-Nagpur Super Communication Highway which is also known as prosperity corridor.
The corridor's first major phase from Nagpur to Shirdi is in the final stages.
Mopalwar had received the first extension in February 2018 for one year followed by February 2019 for another year, in February 2020 for three months, in May 2020 for a year, in June 2021 for six months.
