MUMBAI: Police are probing a case of identity theft where a person allegedly posed as a former director of Lodha group and sent emails to companies, seeking donations or saying their company wants to invest.

An employee of the group lodged a complaint that 'Francis Sequeira' had posed as a former director of the company. Subhash Lonari, 34, a PRO working with the group Tomorrow Capital Enterprises Pvt Ltd (Lodha Ventures), lodged the complaint. He said Abhinandan Lodha, a director, uses his email ID and sometimes IT department head Jaiprakash Yadav, responds to his requests to reply to emails.
