Loan waiver: Congress slams Arundhati Bhattacharya's remark

(SBI) chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya for objecting to the demand for a loan waiver. Leaders from the Congress and NCP marched to SBI's headquarters in south Mumbai to lodge their protest against her views.

“Bhattacharya has exceeded her brief, she is not a policymaker and her comment on our demand loan waiver is uncalled for.

The opposition will move a breach of privilege against her for interfering in the legislature's working,“ he said.
