Dahi Handi celebrations
Dahi Handi celebrations began in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra today as 'Govinda troupes' competing to form human pyramids and break pitchers strung high above the ground for hefty cash prizes, attract large crowds. Stay tuned for all live updates.

Maharashtra government has notified Dahi Handi as an adventure sport, and consequently the matter of age of the participants is restricted to not below 14 years, as mandated by the Child Labour Act 1986.
