MUMBAI: The heavy trains over two days triggered a landslide on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway at Varai village near Manor on Tuesday morning, affecting traffic for over three hours.
As heavy machines cleared the muck on the carriageway leading to Gujarat, motorists were allowed to use the opposite lane, slowing down city-bound traffic too.
No injuries were reported when the landslip occurred around 9am at Waghobakind as heavy rain and poor visibility had slowed down vehicles.
