K’vli killings: Dr dad does driver’s rites

Mumbai: Following the Kandivli double-murder, double-suicide case, Indore resident Dr Ashish Dalvi reached Mumbai on Friday and performed the final rites of his wife, daughter and step-daughter, and also of his trusted employee, the family driver. The driver, Shivdayal Sen (60), along with Dalvi’s daughter (17) killed his wife Kiran Dalvi (45) and step-daughter Muskan Sahu before hanging themselves on Wednesday in Dr Dalvi Hospital in Kandivli, which had shut 15 years ago.
“The four bodies were handed over to Dr Dalvi after the post-mortem at Bhagwati Hospital. We are waiting for him to recover from the shock before his statement can be recorded,” said a police officer. Kandivli police senior inspector Dinkar Jadhav said they will file an abatement summary before court.
