Journalist J Dey case: Court to record Chhota Rajan's statement today

MUMBAI: The trial in the murder of journalist J Dey reached its final stages with the special court recording the final statement of the accused under IPC section 313. Under the provision, a statement is not treated as evidence, but taken into consideration by the court to appreciate the truthfulness or otherwise of the case of the prosecution.
The court recorded the statements of three accused and is expected to record the statement of alleged gangster Chhota Rajan via video conferencing on Thursday.
