MUMBAI: NCP leader Jayant Patil of the Sharad Pawar faction met Shiv Sena (UBT) chief
Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree, the latter’s residence in Bandra (East) on Monday evening.
Patil said it was a “courtsey call” and he met Uddhav to discuss the INDIA coalition’s meeting scheduled in Mumbai for August 31 and September 1. Patil, a Sharad Pawar loyalist, had on Sunday dismissed reports that he met Union home minister Amit Shah in Pune ‘secretly’ and also scotched speculation that he was set to join the Ajit Pawar-led group in the Shiv Sena-BJP government.
