Mumbai: An injured deer was spotted in the shrubs near Royal Palms housing society abutting Aarey Colony. “The deer has been lying there for the last three days without eating and without water. It is not moving from the place,” said Jubair Ansari, a local resident. Ansari, who spotted the deer from his window, informed the forest dept who visited on Monday. “They too agreed that the deer is injured and assured it would be rescued by Tuesday at the latest,” said Ansari. While Kiran Patil, deputy conservator of the South Division, said the Thane Division had been informed about the injured deer, Pradip Patil, deputy conservator said he was not aware.
