A pre-arrest bai plea filed by Pravin Jain, director of Pharma Care Specialities, in connection with a case of alleged illegal sale of
Covid drug Remdesivir
was rejected by Bombay high court .
Justice S K Shinde directed that he appear before the police on Thursday to cooperate with investigation. Special counsel for the state government, Raja Thakare, with assistant public prosecutor Veera Shinde said it was a cognizable offence.
In July, five were arrested for illegal sale of
Remdesivir and Tocilizumab
. His advocate Arvind Jaiswar in his application said the sessions court had rejected Jain's pre-arrest bail plea on September 5 and apprehending arrest over "false implication'' he approached HC for relief.
