MUMBAI: BJP leader Pankaja Munde's remark that she belongs to the party but the party does not belong to her, has given rise to speculations that she was unhappy with the party.

Speaking at the birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar in New Delhi, she said, "BJP is a very big party. If I have a problem with my father, I'll go to my brother's house."

"If I get nothing I am willing to go cut sugarcane in the fields," she said, referring to the nomadic tribe that she belongs to. This comes amid growing speculations about Munde being sidelined by the state BJP brass over the past few years. However Maharashtra BJP president Bawankule, brushed these rumours, "every time she says something, a different meaning is attributed to it. She is very much with the party," he said.
