MUMBAI: A

SpiceJet

flight attendant served scalding hot water to a senior citizen, who couldn't hold the glass and spilled the contents onto a passenger seated next to him. The woman, who was travelling on work, sustained over 20% burn injuries on her thigh, which forced her to take leave and stay put in Cochin to recuperate. She sought compensation from the airline, which she said was denied.

"With each minute, the pain intensified. I requested them to make an announcement to find out if there was a doctor on board, among passengers. Neither did they make the announcement nor did the cabin supervisor in charge come to see me."
