HC interim relief for ‘Social’ pub in trademark row

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court recently restrained restaurant ‘Social Tribe' from using the mark ‘Social', saying it was deceptively similar to restaurant and bar chain ‘Social'. The HC passed the order in a trademark infringement suit filed by Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality Pvt Ltd, which owns ‘Social', seeking an injunction saying it constituted trademark infringement. The court said that a brazen attempt is made by the owners of ‘Social Tribe' to infringe the said trademark, which requires to be restrained. tnn
