MUMBAI: The
Bombay high court
cancelled the bail application of the accused in the 2014 murder of a
Shiv Sena youth leader
from Malad and directed them to surrender before the
Dindoshi sessions court
by February 14.
In 2014, Ramesh Jadhav was stabbed to death with sharp weapons allegedly by five members of the Sajida family following an argument over two-wheeler parking. Police later arrested Sohail Salim Ansari, Imran Kazi, Gullu Sajida and his 17-year-old son, and Yusuf Ansari.
Meanwhile, the law and judiciary department appointed lawyer Kaushik Mahatre as special public prosector after the deceased’s wife, Nisha, moved an application seeking speedy trial and appointment of special public prosecutor. —S Ahmed Ali
