“Bilal used to sell some cutlery items, but he was in bad financial shape as he had been unemployed for a few months. Since then, Bilal, who has one child, often fought with his wife over petty domestic issues. Bilal, during interrogations, has said that he was fed up with daily fights and wanted to do something for the family. Hence, he took the contract for Rs 50,000 to kill Kaskar’s bodyguard,” said Bajirao.
Bilal was arrested near the scene of the shooting and thrashed by the public before police booked him for the bodyguard’s murder and conspiracy to kill Kaskar.
