Golibar residents meet housing department officials
MUMBAI: Residents of Golibar slums protested against the halt on the SRA redevelopment project. Residents met an official from the housing department, V Giriraj, and chife secretary Ratnakar Gaikwad on Tuesday.
The protests against the halt on SRA revelopment project continued on Tuesday with the residents of Golibar slums in Khar East meeting V Giriraj representing the housing department and chief secretary Ratnakar Gaikwad.

The residents, who have been protesting ever since Medha Patkar's agitation from May 20, met the government officials and stated their grievances.
"We stated our reservations against the committee formed to look into Golibar rehabilitation as it was delaying the whole project. The officials have assured us that the stay will be only till has been put only till June 15 of June
after which the work will go on as scheduled," a resident said.Shaikh Kalimuddin of Ashtavinayak Society of Golibar slums said.
