The Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express is an 8 coach all AC chair car service. It has 7 AC chair car coaches and 1 Executive Chair Car coach.
The AC Chair car with seats in the 3 by 2 configuration can seat 78 passengers. It has standard features such as reclining seats with armrest, mobile & laptop charging points, magazine holder, foot rest and snack table.
The Executive Chair can seat 52 passengers and has special seats with 180 degrees rotating feature, better reclining and snack tables hidden in the arm rest.
The train has aircraft style bio-vacuum toilets with touch-free sensor based fittings. One coach at each end of the train has a touch-based divyang friendly toilet and a facility to park wheelchairs.
The train has automatic entry and exit doors. It also boasts of automatic sliding doors for interconnectivity between coaches.
The semi-high speed train has the KAVACH anti train collision system. It has emergency windows, emergency lighting, 4 platform side cameras, better fire detection and suppression system and better flood proofing for underslung equipment.
Train number 22229/22230 CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT Vande Bharat Express will depart from Mumbai at 5:25 AM to reach Goa at 1:10 PM during the non-monsoon seasons. On the return journey it will depart at 2:40 to reach Mumbai at 10:25 PM.
Train number 22229/22230 CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT Vande Bharat Express will have a different time table during the monsoon months, taking more time due to speed restrictions on the section. The detailed time table can be checked in the image above.
During the monsoon month, the train will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Mumbai and on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Madgaon.
This will be fourth Vande Bharat to operate from Mumbai. Two of these runs on the Central Railway between CSMT-Sai Nagar Shirdi and CSMT-Pune-Solpur. The third train runs between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar on Western Railway.
The 8-coach train has capacity to carry 530 passengers. While Tejas Express runs with 14 LHB coachesand has a capacity for 1,002.
