Future Star down Kenkre

Mumbai: Future Star worked hard for their fighting 2-1 win against Kenkre FC in a Women’s Super Division match of the Mumbai Football Association League. Punam Kumari scored the first goal in the 46th minute to give Future Star the lead before Atisha Saini doubled the lead in the 63rd minute. Kenkre FC scored a late consolation goal through Nishika Prakash.
Bhatoye, Suri in semis
The top two seeds Naishaa Kaur Bhatoye and Taarini Suri strolled into the Women’s singles semifinals of the CCI-GMBA Yonex Sunrise District Badminton Championship.Bhatoye, the No. 1 seed eased past Krisha Shah 21-5, 21-7, while second seed Suri also enjoyed an easy victory, cruising to a 21-4, 21-7 over Saanchi Santi in one-sided quarterfinal encounters.
