Fisherman dies after boat capsizes off Mumbai Coast
MUMBAI: A 55-year-old fisherman died after a boat capsized off the coast near Khar Danda on Wednesday evening.
The mishap was reported to authorities at 8.28 pm through Bandra’s Bhabha Hospital.
Officials said two persons were pulled out after the boat overturned. Ashok Kishan Rathod (55) was declared brought dead at the hospital. Another victim, identified as Ketan Rathod (32), was treated for injuries and was later discharged against medical advice, officials said.
Police reached the spot and further investigations into the incident are underway.
