Film student's death was not suicide: Cops
The Aarey police investigating the mysterious death of film student Siddharth Iyer have ruled out suicide. Iyer (21) fell from his fifth-floor flat at Royal Palms Complex on the morning of June 26.
Iyer had invited few friends to his house on the night of June 25. "During the course of the night, he had an argument with one of his friends and gradually everybody left.
According to the police, he leaned against the window railing far too much, lost his balance and fell off. He was found lying on the ground with severe head injuries by the security guard. "We are awaiting his blood test results, which will disclose if he had consumed anything,'' inspector G V Anavkar said.
