NAGPUR: The newly constituted admission and fee regulating authorities of the state will take cognizance of complaints made by public representatives, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the common man against the management of higher education institutions if accompanied with strong evidence. The authorities will also take action against managements if the allegations are found to be true, assured state education minister
Vinod Tawde.
He made the declaration in a reply to a starred question by Vikhroli MLA Sunil Raut, who sought an amendment to the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Education Institutions (Regulation of Admission Fees) Act, 2015, to let public representatives and common citizens lodge complaints.
