“I never imagined that he would steal my valuables,” Singh told TOI. “On Thursday, I received Rs 18,000 from a film-maker’s sister for whom I had designed clothes. Her driver gave the envelope with the money to Subhash who gave it to me. He saw me keep the money in my wallet, which had Rs 9,000 in it.” On the way to his store, Singh also kept his Rs-75,000 diamond ring in his wallet.
Around 4pm, Singh gave Subhash money to buy food. “I did not see him after that. At 1.30 am, I took an auto back home. When I was about to pay the driver, I realized that my wallet was stolen,” Singh added.
