The accused, Ghulamgaus Jehangirdar and Faiyaz Khan, opened a fake agency called Ocean HR Enterprises and issued fake job offer letters, joining letters, and flight tickets after collecting money from the victims. They then closed the office and disappeared.

One of the victims, Valsad Rasikbhai Patel, was duped of Rs 69,000 and his passport. He was supposed to fly to Turkey on November 29, but he found out that his flight ticket was fake just two days before his departure.

After realizing they had been duped, over 150 job aspirants approached the Santa Cruz police station to lodge a complaint. An FIR was registered against Arshad Ansari and his associates for duping the victims.

The accused were arrested after the police tracked the money trials of the bank accounts that were provided by the fraudster to the victims.
