MUMBAI: Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis will meet investors during a five-day visit to Japan from August 20 to 25. He is likely to meet the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida. Fadnavis has been invited as a state guest by the Japanese government.

He will be accompanied by officials from the industry department and MMRDA. Fadnavis, who has been working to get investments in Maharashtra, is slated to hold business meetings with companies like Sumitomo, NTT, and Sony, among others. He will be visiting the bullet train and Tokyo metro operations while in Japan.

Meetings have been lined up with the finance minister, foreign affairs minister, trade minister and tourism minister.

Fadnavis will meet officials from JICA, which has invested in Metro projects here, as also Jetro and officials of the Japan-India Association. Maharashtra is likely to seek loans for the Versova-Virar sea link, Thane coastal road project and Nagpur-Goa expressway.
