Ex-corporator assaulted, one detained

MUMBAI: A former NCP corporator from Vikhroli, Haroon Khan, was allegedly assaulted in Parksite area late on Saturday. Cops have detained one Imran Khan and are questioning him.
According to the police, Imran, who runs biryani catering service, blocked Haroon's car's way. Haroon's wife is a sitting corporator. "When Haroon and his driver asked Imran to unblock the road, it led to an argument and the ex-corporator was bashed up," said an officer.Haroon sustained severe injuries and rushed to Rajawadi Hospital. In 2017, the police had booked Haroon for detaining two construction workers.
