‘Elgar Parishad case accused denied medicare’

The family members of Elgar Parishad case accused have alleged they have been “systematically” denied medical care, citing activist Vernon Gonsalves’s condition as yet another act of “criminal negligence” on the part of Taloja jail authorities.

MUMBAI: The family members of Elgar Parishad case accused have alleged they have been “systematically” denied medical care, citing activist Vernon Gonsalves’s condition as yet another act of “criminal negligence” on the part of Taloja jail authorities.
They said Gonsalves (65) had fever on August 30 and though his condition was steadily deteriorating, he was admitted to JJ Hospital only after his wife moved court.
