Duo held with 255 fake notes of 2,000 each
The crime branch have arrested Mohammed Arshad, 42, of Varanasi, and Lavesh Tambe, 41, of Thane, with 255 counterfeit notes in denomination of Rs 2,000, worth Rs 5.1 lakh.
Mumbai: The crime branch have arrested Mohammed Arshad, 42, of Varanasi, and Lavesh Tambe, 41, of Thane, with 255 counterfeit notes in denomination of Rs 2,000, worth Rs 5.1 lakh. Both have been booked under IPC sections 489A and B for using counterfeit currency as genuine, and 120 B for criminal conspiracy. They would print notes and make them dirty to look genuine. They were nabbed in Chembur while delivering a bundle. TNN
