MUMBAI: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Mumbai Zonal Unit, busted an interstate drug smuggling racket and seized a massive consignment of 16 kilograms of Mephedrone (commonly known as "Meow-Meow") worth Rs 160 crore. Four persons, including a 71-year-old man, have been arrested.

The two suspects, Ravi and Manish Baradwal, were travelling on a Hyderabad-to-Mumbai bus. Officials intercepted them at Vashi flyover bus stop in Navi Mumbai early Tuesday morning.

Officials said the duo confessed to carrying Mephedrone. In the follow-up, DRI arrested Mahesh Kharwa, a resident of Vodadara, who came to Mumbai to collect the contraband. They also arrested Sultan Ahmed Abdul Latif Shaikh (71), a city-based operative.
