Dream11 to be Team India’s jersey sponsor; new deal likely to be `350cr for 4 yrs
Mumbai: Dream11, a fantasy gaming platform, has acquired the Team India jersey lead sponsorship rights from 2023-27, as per a reliable source. Dream11 will thus replace ed-tech firm Byju’s — which was the lead Team India jersey sponsor from 2019 till March this year — on the Team India jersey for the next four years. The BCCI will come out with an official announcement in this regard soon, it’s learnt. Dream11 was the title sponsor of IPL— 2020 after the tournament’s original title sponsor, Vivo, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, backed out following a public backlash against Chinese companies amid the India-China border dispute. As per reports, the BCCI had kept the base price of the main sponsor on the jersey at a ‘modest’ Rs 350 cr. The Board had last month roped in sports apparel giant Adidas as Team India’s new kit sponsor. Companies in the betting, cryptocurrency, tobacco, and real-money gaming sectors have been barred by the BCCI from bidding for Team India sponsorship rights. Byju’s was paying the BCCI Rs 5.5 cr for every bilateral match and Rs 1.7 cr for every ICC match, but the BCCI may get a lesser figure from the new deal.

if multinational GREAT company like ITC (which is in many many great fields of manufacturing for India) is not allowed by BGGI/GOI for Indian cricket team sponsorship I can find no logical reason to allow DREAM11 or any such company sponsoring team India either. seriously out of line.
