MUMBAI: The script of the epic period drama film 'Mohenjo Daro' starring Hrithik Roshan has been dragged to court by a film director who claims his copyright has been infringed by award-winning director Ashutosh Gowarikar.

Akashaditya Lama has taken on Gowarikar and his period drama 'Mohenjo Daro'. He claimed that Gowarikar stole his story. Justice Gautam Patel heard the matter all day on Monday and is expected to pass orders on Tuesday morning.

The film is scheduled for an August release and the film makers opposed the suit.

Lama is a director and scriptwriter, born in Ranchi and brought up in Kolkata, Bhilai, Gwalior and Faridkot. He has directed a film, Cigarette Ki Tarah (2012), and penned TV shows.-
