A local court on Tuesday summoned director Madhur Bhandarkar to appear before it on November 14 in the 2004 rape case filed by actor Preeti Jain.

MUMBAI: A local court on Tuesday summoned director Madhur Bhandarkar to appear before it on November 14 in the 2004 rape case filed by actor Preeti Jain.
Last month the court had issued the process after observing that prima facie a case of rape and criminal intimidation has been made out against Bhandarkar.
In July 2004, Jain had lodged a complaint with the Versova police against Bhandarkar.
