Informa Markets in India hosted a roundtable to preview the 'World of Concrete India 2024' expo, scheduled for October 16-18, 2024, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The event will spotlight innovations in the concrete and construction industry.

Cement production is expected to rise from 3.96 billion tonnes in 2023 to 5.99 billion tonnes by 2032.
A panel of industry leaders, including Dr Maulik Ranka (Zydex Industries) and ColDr Gaurav Singh (Technology Advisor), discussed green concrete, sustainability, and challenges. Dr Singh highlighted the role of Digital Twins and AI in accelerating progress, saying, "These technologies will transform construction, as seen in the US and Europe."
Rajneesh Khattar (Informa Markets) noted Gujarat's growing role, saying, "With over 40 companies from Gujarat, we’ve seen a notable increase in participation this year."
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the 2024 expo is set to welcome over 15,000 professionals and 300 global brands, with a focus on digital transformation and sustainable building practices.
