MUMBAI: Maharashtra chief minister
Prithviraj Chavan's convoy met with a minor accident on the Western Express highway at Kandivli(East) on Saturday.
The chief minister did not sustain any injury in the accident.
The mishap took place when a vehicle escorting the CM's convoy hit a car which had suddenly halted in front of it.
The chief minister and the officials who were traveling along with him did not sustain any injuries, police said.
"The driver of the escorting vehicle sustained a minor injury. We have sent him for medical examination," said Brijesh Singh, additional commissioner of police (North region).
The incident took place at around 8.30pm.
