MUMBAI: After power supply from the 100 KV Padgha power substation to the Panjrapur water treatment plant of the BMC was disrupted, the city faced reduced water supply.
Power supply to the Panjrapur water treatment plant was disrupted at around 10 am on Monday, resulting in the shutting down of the water treatment plant. However, the BMC staffers managed to get the plant functional within an hour and half.
But, as restoration of water levels took time, supply to the entire western suburbs, as well as G-South, G-North ward and A ward witnessed a 10 percent reduction, while the entire eastern Suburbs and wards such as F-North, F-South, E-ward and some areas of B-ward faced a 20 percent reduction in supply.
