After casting ballot, citizens sign off on white paper declaring importance of voting

Mumbai: Boards with large white sheets of paper were set up at polling booths to create awareness about the need to cast your vote. At the Gurunanak Technical School in GTB Nagar, a board was installed with a message in Marathi which said ‘Majhe Mat Maharashtrasathi (My vote is for Maharashtra)' while a message in English said ‘Voting is Not Only a Right, But a Duty'.
Several voters signed the board after casting their vote. Students were guiding voters to the board to place their signature.
Similar boards were set up at other polling booths in the city. For the recent Lok Sabha election, cut-outs for selfies hda been set up at booths.
