Chavan sets agenda for new year

MUMBAI: Prithviraj Chavan took over the reins of the state on November 10 in trying circumstances. The Congress-led government in the state was battling serious corruption charges.
Having spent over a month and a half as Maharashtra's chief ministerafter taking over in stemming a rocking boat, Prithviraj Chavan has now spelt his governance agenda. On Saturday, chief minister Prithviraj Chavan spelt his governance agenda and directed all department heads to strive for development.that would promote an all inclusive growth. and was would be centered around the common man. With the state administration battling charges of corruption.
He stressed on clean, transparent and efficient policies. Referring to damages due to unseasonal rains, Chavan said climatic changes were a challenge andinsisted on a right balance between environment and development.
Apart from the secretaries, Chavan met all the employees, including class IV workers, in his secretariat and wished them a happy new year.
