Central railway halts price hike of platform food stalls in Mumbai

Mumbai: In what has come as a relief to several train commuters, the revision of rates of food at the eatery stalls on platforms of Central Railway has been kept on hold “till further notice”. A day earlier, CR had announced that it would hike rates of A la carte eatables such as vada, samosas, bread pakoda, usal/ragda, pav, misal pav, etc. at the stalls from June 1. This decision has now been withheld.
